CheckInn HotelsPrivacy Policy

Last updated 20 September 2026

This policy explains what personal information CheckInn Hotels (“we”, “the hotel”) collects when you use our website, our mobile app and our hotels, why we collect it, who sees it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

What we collect

The app does not read your contacts, photos, location or microphone, and we do not use advertising trackers.

Why we use it

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information. We share only what is needed with:

How long we keep it

We keep account information while your account is open. Records of stays, the guest register and financial records are kept for as long as hotel, tax and accounting rules require, even after an account is closed. Chat conversations that were never used are cleared automatically.

Your choices and rights

What closing your account removes. Your sign-in, email, phone, address, date of birth, preferences, marketing choices, loyalty points, chat conversations and the devices signed in to your account are erased. If you have stayed with us, the name and identity document recorded in our guest register, and the financial records of your stays, are kept as the law requires — they are no longer linked to a way of contacting you. If you never stayed with us, your name is erased too.

Security

Information travels between your device and our servers over an encrypted connection. Passwords and sign-in tokens are stored in scrambled form, staff access is limited by role, and staff actions are logged.

Children

Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly create accounts for anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change this policy we will post the new version here and update the date above.
